Local theatre doesn't run on funding or fame. It runs on volunteers, makeshift solutions, and people with far more passion for theatre than they're ever credited for.

Stage Whispers is for the directors who somehow make it work, the performers who juggle rehearsals around day jobs, and everyone else who keeps community theatre alive: from the people running the box office to the ones wrestling with the lighting rig at midnight. We're the people who make the show happen, and it's time we start sharing our hard-earned wisdom.

This will be practical guidance for the actual challenges we face: directing actors who've never been on stage, designing sets with no budget, running a show when half your crew has the flu. Real problems, real solutions, from people who've been in those rehearsal rooms and committee meetings and know how it all actually works.

Stage Whispers will have its opening night soon. Sign up for the For Theatre Folk newsletter to be the first to hear when we raise the curtain.
